Palo Santo sticks come from the bursera graveolens tree in the South American rainforest and this truly unique aromatic wood is burned as incense. Santo Sticks

Palo Santo’s spirit is often generous with its healing powers as its smoke enters the energy field of those it reaches to clear negative thoughts and misfortune. It is a delicate process of respect, however, and is one of the reasons that the tree cannot be cut down and is only harvested years after it has fallen from natural causes. Its unique fragrance and aromatic oils are enhanced over the years in a natural metamorphosis as it rests on the Amazon Rainforest floor. To put it simply, many find the aroma of Palo Santo irresistible. Certified Vegan.

Product Name Explanation: Palo Santo means “holy wood.” This name was given to this mystical tree when Spanish monks explored the Amazon, tested its qualities and realized its hidden properties.

How to use:
Hold a piece of wood slightly upside down and light the tip until there is a small flame.
After 1 minute, blow it out so only smoke is produced.
Place it embers-up in a fireproof bowl and gently blow on the embers when needed. It may need to be re-lit several times.
Some prefer to keep small rocks in a fireproof bowl and the put the embers into the rock bed in order to put it out when finished.
The stick can be reused several times until it is too small to burn.

Packaging: The packages are made from 100 percent recycled, unbleached cardboard that can be stacked attractively on shelves or hung from a rack. The boxes are decorated in a South American pattern and highlighted with an attractive gold finish, combining ethnicity with class.

Manufacturing process: The wood is hand-harvested from Palo Santo trees that died naturally in the Amazon rainforest. Strict local laws forbid logging Palo Santo and the wood is not removed from the rainforest until the tree rested for several years, allowing its oils and properties to develop. Every fallen tree is replaced with a seedling to rejuvenate the Palo Santo population and natural biodiversity.
